Portland, the Heaven of Bisexuals
If you are bi and haven't been to Portland,Oregon, you are really missing out a great city. Portland located in the north west of US, is a large city of Oregon. When refers to Portland, it always remind us with an excellent basketball team, Portland Trailblazers.Portland also called city of rose, can do for bisexuals what San Francisco has done for gays. Once you step on this awesome place, you will never wanna leave cause it is indeed a heaven of bisexuals.
1. U May See Lots of Bisexuals in This Beautiful City
Actually there are lots of cities where are suit for bisexual to live. Among those cities, I think, Portland is the best and largest one. There are a great number of bisexual men, bisexual women, and bisexual couples living in Portland. A recent study shows that a whopping 17% of the city's responders identified as bi. Therefore, If u come to Portland, you may easily find a bisexual partner.
The way, we coming out as bisexual men or bisexual women always get together with some challenge. Some people don't understand our bisexual identity and even never accept it. When more of us are out, open, and proud about our sexuality, we become more visible and naturally begin to dispel false misconceptions about bisexuality. As a bi guy in Portland, I didn’t feel any discrimination from the rest of the LGBT community, as they had met so many bi folk before me.
3. The Governor of Oregon is an Open and Proud Bisexual Woman.
Kate Brown, the state's second female governor as well as the first openly bisexual governor in the US will give us bisexuals a feeling of safety and proud living in this city. If that’s not good for bi visibility, I don’t know what is.
4. Portland is Vastly Queer.
The LGBT community in Portland is vastly queer, and does not just consist solely of white, gay, cisgender men. Every gender seems to be out and proud, and there's space for every sexual orientation in the city.
5. Portland Has Bi Nights at Many Clubs and Bars.
In Portland u may see large number of club and bars for bisexuals where are the safe spaces for not just gay men, but for both queer men and women to socialize with other bi+ people! How awesome is that?! I know every second Tuesday is Bi Bar at Crush.
Since there are a lot of bisexuals who are also polyamorous, many bi folk would be happy to know there is a large, active poly community in Portland.
